De-Thatching promotes healthy root growth, effective draining, and allows fertilizer to properly blend with the soil resulting in a greener, healthier lawn.

Mark off and prepare the bare spots for re-seeding. After you have located the areas that need attention, scratch up the dirt and re-seed. Adding a little bit of topsoil enriched with nutrients will give the new grass a better chance of taking root. Cover the newly seeded area with some straw to keep the moisture in. Aerating the lawn will help water and nutrients get to the roots of the grass quickly and efficiently. To properly aerate a lawn, you can use an attachment on a lawn mower, use a walk-behind model, or simply get a pair of walkers that strap on to your shoes and aerate your lawn as you walk around or mow the yard. No matter how you do it, aerating your lawn will help keep it healthier and more attractive.

Get rid of the weeds. Whether you manually pull or pluck out the weeds or use a spray, ridding you lawn of weeds will not only make your lawn look better but will also help improve the health of the lawn by providing more room and nutrients for the grass.
